Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 45 years (as of the date of the vacancy, i.e., August 1, 2025)
- Maximum Age:
- Internal Candidates: Must have at least 2 years of residual service before superannuation (60 years).
- External Candidates: Must have at least 3 years of residual service before superannuation.
Educational Qualification
- Must be a graduate of a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
Experience Required
- At least 5 years of cumulative experience in services & hospitality, catering, food & beverage (F&B), onboard services, and contract management within the last 10 years.
- Experience in rail catering, travel-related business, or hospitality management will be preferred.
Employment Status for IRCTC Recruitment 2025
Applicants should be employed in a regular capacity (not on contract/ad-hoc) in one of the following:
- Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)
- Central Government Group ‘A’ Officers (including Armed Forces & Public Sector Banks/Financial Institutions)
- State Public Sector Enterprises (SPSEs) with an annual turnover of ₹2000 crore or more
- Private Sector companies with an annual turnover of ₹2000 crore or more
IRCTC Recruitment 2025 – Pay Scale Eligibility
Candidates should be working at the Board level or one level below the Board level in the following pay scales:
- CPSEs: ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 (IDA) (Post 01.01.2017)
- Government Officers (Group A): Equivalent to Joint Secretary in GoI
- Armed Forces: Major General or equivalent
- Private & SPSEs: Board-level position or one level below
